To start with booking, it was a seamless process, we paid in advance and after the initial confirmation, there were no unnecessary messages or calls for anything from the property which I appreciate. Next, reaching the location, the property is right in the middle of the rain forest and the last 4 km stretch is a bit tricky as the road is curvy, with many potholes (due to frequent rains, it's no more than a trail for 4-wheelers) and you might feel you are in the wrong place. However, Google Maps are spot-on and once you reach the property, you will feel much better. I wouldn't recommend walking up (as I read in some previous reviews) to this place as you might encounter some unwanted wildlife and the trek is anyway treacherous. Smooth check-in process and the manager will share all relevant information regarding the property, and your well-being at the property, including meal times, emergency procedures and whatnot. They will provide you with a large umbrella per room, and an extra umbrella is provided based on availability, so carry one for yourself if you have kids. The only sounds around are that of a gushing stream and the occasional cicadas. It's tranquil, and you are left at peace from the moment you step foot on the property, just grab one of the large umbrellas provided by them and walk around absolutely carefree. Nature walks and outdoor activities are available depending on the weather. One could go on and on about the serenity and peace at this property and still, it would not be enough. The rooms are huge and have a slightly moist smell to it. Nooks and corners have signs of ageing but nothing that dampens your mood if you remember the place is under constant rain for 8-10 months a year. There's no room service in this property and they mention it at welcome; Reason: Monkeys. There are baby monkeys around the property, and you are well advised to not keep food or loose packets in your hands. You don't bother them, they don't bother you. You cross the rapid streams en route to the restaurant and the reception from your room. These bridges, ramps and stairs could get slippery during the rain, so be careful and take your time. In addition, as the property is bang in the middle of a dense rainforest, you do have visits from uninvited leeches (the actual kind). The rooms are dimly lit. Parts of the way from the room to the restaurant or the reception are also not properly lit. So, I'd advise you to keep a torch handy and wear gum boots if you can, especially for kids. Word of advice - Every time you come from outside, check yourself for leeches and take necessary measures accordingly. Service-wise, the food is surprisingly good and served hot at all times. We had low expectations going in, considering the remote nature of the resort. However, every meal we had was pleasantly warm, fresh and tasty. The food served is more global with an Indian twist. The local cuisine is less but is delicious. The staff is friendly, prompt and har
